Jerusalem, if I forget thee...
I'm not Jewish, nor am I anti-Palestinian.
I just wear it because it helps me remember
that Jerusalem is a part of who I am.

I lived in Jerusalem for a semester (nearly 4 months) in 2009. It changed my life. I think it has affected me more than almost any other single experience. It was different than the effect the mission had on me because it was a fundamentally different purpose. But it went hand-in-hand with the experience of being a missionary. I loved every second I spent in Jerusalem. That is why there is an entire page of my website dedicated to it. The whole reason I started a blog was for Jerusalem www.andysholyland.blogspot.com. I was in a group of about 79 students who I love dearly. We made a book out of the experience called "Reflections of Jerusalem". This is an amazing book. You can find it below. I will always be a changed person because of what I experienced here.
I returned with my wife (for our honeymoon) in 2013. It was another incredible trip. We only spent 19 days there this time, but made new friends, strengthened our faith and retraced the steps of the Savior together. We were strengthened together. It was the perfect way to start our marriage. We like to call that trip our pilgrimage honeymoon.
